How can Dr George Campbell help you?

Orthodontic treatment has evolved considerably over the years, and it is no longer about wearing a lot of metal in your mouth. Nowadays there are many different types of braces to choose from that are smaller, more comfortable to wear and very efficient in aligning your teeth. George Campbell orthodontist can help you select the right braces to suit your lifestyle. The different braces you can choose from are:

Invisible braces

Invisalign uses a treatment plan of clear plastic aligners to move your teeth into position. They’re removable and practically invisible to those around you, which is what makes them a popular choice for many adults.

Fixed metal braces

Fixed metal braces use a combination of metal brackets, archwires, and elastic bands (ligatures) to straighten your teeth. Even though they are the original style of brace, advancements in orthodontic treatment means the brackets are now considerably smaller, less chunky, and easier to wear.

Ceramic braces

Ceramic braces are similar to normal braces with the main difference being the brackets are made from ceramic material and are designed to be the same colour as your teeth so they’re less visible. They are also smoother and stronger than traditional braces.

Self-ligating braces

Self-ligating braces use brackets that have a sliding mechanism that allows for the archwire to move in response to your teeth. This means they operate with a lot less friction and you don’t need elastic bands like traditional braces.

Lingual braces

Lingual braces are attached to the back surface of your teeth, meaning there is less risk of decalcification as well as the visually aesthetic benefits.

George and his team are passionate and committed to providing the highest standard of orthodontic treatment and discreet braces to patients in Glasgow and the surrounding areas. Contact one of the practices today to book an appointment with George Campbell.
